Description: Excellent replacement for 6v led bulb. This bulb will fit S25 bulb shape applications. This led bulb works great to replace turn signal, running lights and dash board indicator lights. Easy to install, the bulb is non polarity, you do not have to worry about a socket that is wired backwards or for negative chassis wiring. This bulb is dimmable by a variable voltage supply. This 6 Volt bulb is designed for vintage vehicles and motorcycles for both negative ground chassis from post World War II and positive chassis from pre World War II. Up to 16 CP candle power output. Available in super white, red, yellow, green and blue. 6 VDC/ VAC. Approximate size is 1.57in x 1.03in. The max voltage is 8 volts. . Durable, shock and vibration proof, instant On/Off. Monochromatic (pure) color, low heat, virtually unbreakable

Indexed dual bayonet base.

Note that this 1157 dual filament base is baY15d, which means its indexed. Early Fords seem to use a ba15d non-indexed socket. So this bulb will not fit, even though it seems like the correct bulb for a 6V positive ground application.

Tried these lights in my 1949 ford tail lights they only worked for when the light were on but would not work for stop lights or directional signals.

Although the first bulb that I got was defective LEDLight credited me for the full amount. The replacement bulb that I ordered works just fine. I am using it in a 6 Volt lead acid battery flashlight. With the bulbs very low current draw the flashlight delivers a bright beam for a long period of time without recharging the battery. I recommend this item.
