Please make sure to remove any ballast that was used with the old High Pressure sodium or Metal Halide bulb. These LED lights last for a long time up to 50, 000 hours or longer. Generate very little heat, unlike MH or HPS bulbs. The unit has 28 LEDs 7 white LEDs from 3300K to 6500K, 6 Blue LEDs that are in the range of 450nm-470nm and 16 RED LED's that are in the range of 630nm to 660nm which are the best colors and spectrums to grow plants. Less watering and maintenance using LED Grow lights versus CFL, HPS and MH lights.
