I used this adapter to convert my two pin front porch light socket to a standard screw type socket. I installed a screw in LED bulb and everything works perfectly.

In 2013 I purchased a lamp that, as I found out during assembly, required special light bulbs. The bulbs came with the lamp and I found spare bulbs at a local store. However, I want to take the lamp to Europe, where GU24 bulbs are not available. Thats why I needed the adapter. The dimensions shown in the picture are the outer diameter (1.49 in) and from tip to upper rim (1.85 in). The wall thickness is 0.08 in. The adapter weighs 0.8 oz and is very robust.
