Side-Firing BA9S 5-LED Light Bulb Too Big For Instrument Panel

The side-firing BA9S 5-LED Light Bulb has a diameter too large for me to insert it into the back of the instrument panel of my automobile.
I had to return the bulbs which I ordered because I was unable to utilize them at all. But they make work for other vehicle uses or more spacious applications:)
The light bulb appears to be of good quality otherwise and produces adequate light energy.
