Great for range hood lights

I have two of these in the range hood over my stove, which creates adequate light to see clearly beneath them. They are almost equally as bright as the 7 watt CFL bulbs I replaced, and about equal to a 10 watt bulb as it says in the product description above. They are not really dimmable (my range hood has hi and lo settings; low leaves the LED bulbs glowing slightly, but not enough to create any useful light). Some other appliances might be able to use these bulbs too and I would just note that they are only about as bright as a 10 watt incandescent... if you are replacing a 20 - 40 watt bulb with one of these, you will definitely notice the decreased amount of light.
