This LED bulb operates on both AC and DC power and works in either positive ground or negative ground systems without concern for polarity. The BA15D base features a 15mm diameter with even bayonets and two bottom contacts for dual-filament taillight and brake light operation. Built using high-efficiency Samsung 5730 LED chips, the bulb provides 360-degree illumination, starts to illuminate at approximately 3.4 volts, and is dimmable with a variable AC or DC voltage supply. Light output provides up to approximately 358 lumens for brake light operation and up to approximately 260 lumens for taillight operation, depending on color. Consuming only about 2.6 watts, this bulb is comparable to a 25 watt incandescent bulb while generating less heat and reducing load on older generators, alternators, wiring, sockets, and lenses.
