Rebaydo 12V to 6V Step Down Converter converts a 10–35V DC input to a regulated 6V DC output at up to 8 amps and 48 watts. This non-isolated converter uses synchronous rectification technology with conversion efficiency of more than 96% and generates very little heat during normal operation. Built-in protection includes over-current and over-temperature protection, with overheating protection at approximately 150°C. The IP68 waterproof design is suitable for use in vehicles, motorcycles and scooters and works with both positive ground and negative ground systems. The converter can be used to power compatible 6 volt motors, audio equipment, navigation equipment, monitoring equipment, LED displays, electric fans, DVD equipment, pumps and other 6 volt devices from a higher-voltage electrical system. The no-load current is ≤0.35mA, so a power switch or ignition-controlled connection is recommended to disconnect power when the device is not being used. Input wires are red positive and black ground; output wires are yellow positive 6V and black ground. Wires are approximately 5.9" long. The converter measures approximately 2.51" x 2.24" x 0.87", with mounting holes approximately 2.04" apart and 0.19" in diameter. Working temperature is -25°C to 85°C. IMPORTANT: This converter is designed to power 6 volt electrical devices and MUST NOT be used to charge a 6 volt battery. CE and RoHS listed.
