There is a switch in the neck of the flashlight. Please push the switch on to light the flashlight and push off to turn off the flashlight. The flashlight is approximately 7.67" long. The maximum diameter of the flashlight is 3.15". The diameter of the body of the flashlight is 1.30". Please make sure to install the battery holders in the correct direction with the "+" pointing to the end of the flashlight. The battery holders are installed from the bottom of the flashlight.
