MR16 Ultra Bright LED Light. 12V AC or DC. Uses 3 ultra bright CREE LEDs for long life. 350 lumen output and only uses 3 watts of energy. Comparable to a 30 watt incandescent equivalent. The heat sink is a 2nd generation design for better cooling for longer LED life. Approximate size is 2.31in x 1.89in.

Yes
I use one of these half way up the mast, pointing down as a deck light. It gives good light over the foredeck and draws so little power I can leave it on if I go out at night leaving the boat brightly lit up ad easily visible
