I wanted a multicolored light above my hot tub to replace a single flood lamp. This is perfect. I can set it to white to read by our pick a color for mood lighting. Red keeps your night vision for watching stars while teal really brings out the color of the tub. I use the second one I bought to wash the ceiling of the media room (OK its really the living room), Red for horror movies, blue for nature. Anyway, they are plenty bright enough for the hot tub, in fact I am usually running it at the dimmest setting. And just right for the ceiling in the 20 x 20 foot media room in full brightness. The RF remote is much better than the IR remote - no aiming at the light and has plenty of range.
