Upgrade your vintage vehicle, motorcycle, marine application, or specialty equipment with the Rebaydo 1142 BA15D S8 LED bulb. This 2.6 Watt BA15D DC Bayonet LED operates on both positive ground and negative ground 6 to 12 Volt AC or DC electrical systems and accepts voltages up to 24 Volts maximum. The non-polarity design eliminates concerns about socket wiring, making it ideal for classic and antique vehicles. The bulb remains at full brightness throughout the normal 6 to 12 Volt operating range.
Using 13 premium 5730 SMD LEDs (6 forward-firing and 7 side-firing), this bulb produces up to 260 Lumens, up to 30 Candlepower, and provides true 360° illumination while consuming only 2.6 Watts. Comparable to a 20 Watt incandescent bulb, it delivers bright light with a service life of up to 30,000 hours. Each 5730 SMD is capable of dissipating approximately ½ Watt and producing 40-70 lumens, while being operated below its maximum rating for improved reliability and cooler operation.
Available in White 6000K, Warm White 3000K, Red 625nm, Yellow 594nm, Green 526nm, and Blue 464nm. White is typically 5-10% brighter than Warm White due to LED material differences.
The BA15D base features a 15mm diameter, straight/even bayonets, and two bottom contacts, but this is a single-filament bulb with only one brightness level. Because it operates over a wide voltage range, it is not dimmable with a variable AC or DC voltage supply.
Its compact size and standard incandescent outline make it an excellent replacement for tight-fitting fixtures found in vintage automobiles, motorcycles, marine navigation lights, landscape lighting, yard lights, indicator lamps, pinball machines, arcade games, hobby projects, and other 6-volt applications. The reduced power consumption places less load on older generators and wiring while producing significantly less heat than incandescent bulbs. If used as a turn signal, an LED-compatible flasher or external load equalizers may be required to prevent hyper flashing.
Important Base Information: The 1142 uses a BA15D base with straight/even bayonets and two bottom contacts. Although the base has two contacts, this bulb provides one brightness level only. The 1157 uses offset bayonets and is not interchangeable with the 1142. If you need a BA15S (1156) version, see Product Code# 78865. For a 6-Volt 1157 dual-filament version, see Product Code# 97465.
Every bulb is individually tested before shipment. CE and RoHS compliant.
