1156 led bulb operates in a positive ground or negative ground from 6 to 12 volt AC or DC system. G18 S25 2.6 Watt L.E.D. bulb. Has 6 forward firing and 7 side firing LEDs. The life is up to 30,000 hours. Available in white 6000 Kelvin, warm white 3000 Kelvin, Red 625 nm Green 526 nm, Blue 464 nm& Yellow 594 nm. Available 1156 BA15S. Great bulb for tight fit, this small high power led is great for all applications, very bright up to 300 Lumen output in 360 degree illumination. This bulb will operate in classic old vintage antique cars positive earth, trucks and motorcycles 6 volt low voltage. This bulb is non polarity, no polarity you can use it in positive chassis and negative chassis cars, trucks an motorcycles. Comparable to a 25 to 30 watt incandescent, very small fits in tight bulb locations. CE and Rohs listed. Uses approximately 100mA @ 13.8 Volts. Works good for navigation lights for its small profile and wide voltage operation encase low batteries the lights will be full bright until 6 volts. The led lamp operates both AC or DC. Each 5730 chip is the latest in high power SMD technologies. Each 5730 SMD ship dissipates up to 1/2 watt of power. The light output from a 5730 SMD is up to 40 to 60 Lumen output. Up to 29 CP forward firing and 29 CP side firing. The led's are only powered around 1/8th of a Watt to keep the led's cooler so they last longer. The forward firing Lumens is up to 360 Lumens. The side firing Lumens is up to 360 Lumens. Since this bulb operates wide voltage from 6 to 12 volts the light cannot be dimmed by a variable AC or DC source. Great to use for turn signals, brake lights and tail lights. Since these led bulbs are 6 volt AC they can be installed in pinball and arcade games, model rail roads and other hobbies. Since this is non polarity you do not have to worry about how the socket is wired. When the bulb is tested usually we apply a negative voltage to the center contact. The plus voltage is applied to the base. This testing procedure makes sure the bulb will operate in both positive ground or negative ground systems. The bayonets are the same height for BA15S base bulbs. The base diameter is 15mm. This bulb has a industry standard male BA15S. The BA15S stands for 15mm diameter and the S stands for single contact. This 6v to 12v led bulb is a good product same outline as a incandescent light bulb but LED. Since this bulb has a smaller outline the a original light bulb the led usually can be installed with no fitment issues. If installing a non standard female BA15S socket and you have issues with the led bulb not fitting. Please replace the female BA15S socket with a industry standard BA15S socket to make sure no fitment issues. Sometimes the older sockets the center contact of the bulb does not contact the center contact of the socket. If this issue occurs you can add solder to make the contact on the bulb with a higher profile so it will make contact with the female BA15S socket. How to install a LED bulb? Please remove the old bulb by pushing down and twisting counter clockwise. When installing the led lamp please push down and twist a clockwise until the bayonets latch. When installing led bulbs in the turn signal circuit hyper flashing or eradicate led lighting can occur. To solve the hyper flash please replace flasher with a led compatible flasher. If a led compatible flasher is not available please use led load equalizers to eliminate hyper flashing. This bulb is great for marine, docks, shoreline, oil rigs, marker buoys. This led bulb works great for third brake lights or cowl lights. The bulb has up to 23 CP candle power output. Works great as 6 volt led tail lights. These led bulbs work great after installation you do not have to worry about a broken filament or broken glass. The led is solid state so nothing can break on the led. The white 6000k is 5% TO 10% brighter than warm white 3000K. The warm white 3000K is perfect for old classic and vintage vehicles to retain that nostalgic incandescent look. The led colors are created by the doping compound used. A blue led is dope with different materials to create the white 6000K or the warm white 3000K. The colors of the led are created by the led itself so you do not have to paint the lens or use colored caps. The led operates cool to the touch so your light fixture, socket and wires are not thermally cycled as bad as using a old halogen or incandescent bulb. Since the led uses 90% less energy old generators or alternators have to work less hard which makes the alternator or generator last longer. Led lamps last a long time usually after installation of led's you never have to worry about a bulb out condition. The led lights up faster than a incandescent bulb so it is safer that your brake light comes on faster using led's. What color led should I use for a colored lens. For a yellow lens it is recommend to use a yellow led. For a red lens it is recommended to use a red led. For the older lenses that are thick sometimes a white led works better than a colored led. Since every car fixture is different it is recommended to try the colored or white led to see which will penetrate the lens better. Works great for old vehicles that are 6 volt but the voltage increases up to 8.4 due to using led bulbs. The bulb starts to illuminate round 3.61 Volts and is 80% of full brightness around 4.25 Volts.
