I purchased two of these for use in a bathroom back in June of 2008. This bathroom has no windows and thus has moisture issues and no outside light. Thus these lights get a LOT of use. One of the reasons I moved to LEDs for these fixtures was that I could not keep compact fluorescents running in this bathroom. They just wouldnt last. I tried a different LED product and had problems with it and then tried this product and have been happy ever since! I am also using one of these for a living room entryway light. No complaints. I will likely be buying more of these in the future. - George

power bill went down as we are using the bulbs. I wish the light worked better in a down socket fixture.it shines up but not so much down in our light fixtures. I like the white light , the low power use, and the effect. I have one in a hanging light over the dining table and one in a can fixture over the sink. The one in the hanging light is better at task light as it is lower by 2 feet. The other 4 lights are in floor lamps and table lights. I would buy again but it wont be for a long time as they last so long.

Good, but with one flaw

Tried out one of these in a room lamp fixture. The light level from the LEDs is very bright and desirable which makes it good for directed lamps such as swing arm desk lamps or recessed cans.
However the dispersion of the light is still directed straight out from the unit and has very little surrounding light effect.
Solve that problem and the bulb should be the standard for LED bulbs. The diffusion lens serves the purpose it needs without diminishing lumens (compared to a couple of other models I have bought), so if they can get this one to spread light over a larger area, it will be the perfect LED bulb assembly.

Ceiling Fan lights

Replaced 8 - 60 watt ceiling fan lights with these. Used the Warm White version. Also replaced 10 - 60 watt lights with the Cool White version. Average daily kWh usaged for the month of September dropped 25% from last year and 15% from the year before.
My plans are to continue to replace incandescents with LED and monitor kilowatt useage.
Light quality is good but slightly different than incandescent.
I only wish they would work with dimmers.
