This product once you screw it in you turn the light and adjust it for your needs. This product uses 8 mm. LED Lights. These L.E.D.'s are extremely bright and very efficient. This products does very good at adjusting the LED light where it is needed. The back is vented to allow the LEDs to operate cooler. Approximate size is 5.41in x 2.01in.

side firing light by Les from Calif on 5/12/2009 Recommends it to Friends: Yes Bought the warm white 36 led side firing lights. Warm white isnt as warm as an incandescent, but is much easier on my eyes than the white. A single unit replaced a 60w bulb in the hall, on the front porch. I would rate them equivalent to a 40w incandescent. Two of them were used in a bedroom fixture, again replacing 60w bulbs. While the light level is noticibly lower, it is still adequate.
