These are great flashlights....compact, incredibly bright, and easy to use.
The single switch in the back is just push-on, push-off. Its recessed enough that youre not likely to turn it on in your pocket, but not so deep that its a pain. And I like that it just TURNS ON when you push the button. Im not interested in multiple lighting mode levels, or strobes, or whatever....I just want my flashlight to turn on when I need light.
I like that it does NOT have variable flood/spot focus, or anything like that....again, I want something that turns on and lets me see when its dark.
I liked the first of these that I bought so much that I ordered more, so I now have one for the car in the center console, one at my desk at work, one by my easy chair at home, and have already given a few away. When bad weather hits (which it does, even in relatively benign California), Im prepared for power outages, with one of these bright handy suckers always within reach.
Highly recommended.
