I use one as a clip on light when I need a little more light on things. The other I dismantled the clip and use i as a fixed spot attached to a more general light They work well and are very bright.
I concur with he other readers that the fixed version of this light with a switch would be a dynamite combination, and make an excellent reading ligh

I bought this because I want to have a light for my bicycle that replaces the 20 watt halogen light I have used in the past. I was dissapointed to find the light does not have a switch. I opened it up and it seems to have enough room inside for a switch but I dont want to damage it. I am putting an in-line switch with the supplied power chord and will see how it works. The clamp was not big enough to place on a bicycly handle bar, but I was able to mount my bicycle light clamp onto the light. Im still working on the switch so I havent been able to try it out on my bike. Also there has been bad winter weather. This light promises to be the equivalent of a system that would cost me around $200.00 if I bought a similar system from a bicycle store so I am excited to try it as soon as my health and the weather allow me to use it.
