Made of flame retardant PBT and copper materials. This converter works with Edison Medium base E26 based male bulbs rated up to 544 watts@277 VAC. The converter can handle up to 2 amps. You will need to BYPASS or remove the BALLAST. Please measure middle post BEFORE buying this converter it should be 15 mm or .59 inches or approximately 9/16 inch. This is the 4th time ordering these items. The product worked well for converting 4-pin CFL socket to E26-E27 socket for use with LED retrofits (make sure to bypass the ballast otherwise it will not work).

Based on reading another review, I ordered these to change out all the can lights in my kitchen. Although I did have to remove the ballast from each fixture, putting the adapter in with a 65W BR40 LED equivalent gave me exactly the result I was looking for. It also means I will have a much wider choice of bulbs in the future. Although the E27 threading is a European standard(American standard is E26) the American-made LEDs I bought worked just fine in the adapter. I am thoroughly pleased with the result.

I bought nine of these to convert my GX24Q-3 bulbs (in my kitchen) to LED retrofit kits I purchased from Costco. As instructed, I bypassed the ballast, which wasnt too difficult. The process should be relatively easy for anyone with technical prowess. After rewiring the connections, and installing the LED kit, everything powered on immediately.
Shipping was quick and the adapters were packaged very well. Im purchasing more adapters so I can do the same install for my parents. Thank you LEDLight.com!

I just recieved one of these gx24 adapters and installed it in a flush mount Florescent can light and bypassed the
Ballast so I could use A standard screw base for led bulbs. This 4 pin adapter works great and Im going to order about 20 more. Led.com shows pictures and dimensions of the connectors. The connectors easily plug in but the work is in bypassing the ballast and rewiring.
