First off, this company has great customer service and great prices. The High Flux is an outstanding upgrade and Im using 6 volts DC versus 13.8. Regardless, its still impressive, this was a replacement for an old headlamp using the E10(GE502)bulb. I chose the Flux because of the brightness (which is true over others)boasted. I should have chosen a bulb style like tall round but this still worked. While this L.E.D. is brighter, its only linear(not omnidirectional meaning 180 degrees, like a half moon!). This powerful light is only in one direction. Very little light from the sides. I wish the details would describe the difference in how the L.E.D. is projected in reality, the photos are a little deceiving (monochromatic means, one color or one frequency/wavelength). If you use this for part for any project not using reflective, convex/ concave purposes then this is perfect. The product is great but the description could be allot better.
