5 out of 5 stars The bulb Ive been waiting for

I think this one may be the bulb Ive been waiting for, a bulb thats pretty much a drop-in replacement for my household incandescents. With 35 individual LED elements pointing in all directions, it gives a nice uniformity in all directions. If you want a narrower angle-- task lighting, for example-- there are better bulbs in the catalog, but this is very nice for overall illumination. The "warm white" color is a bit less warm than an incandescent, but I dont mind that. I also think that the multiple individual elements is very stylish-- it has a futuristic look. Your own sense of style might vary-- if you want something that "looks" ordinary, this isnt it. I love it so far.

5 out of 5 stars Very nice light, bright and good color.

I am using 3 of these in an entryway. The color is very nice. The warm white is a very comfortable color. It has a crisp white light without any blue cast. The sample photo on this site inaccurately shows the warm white as very orange, it is not. Very complimentary to tiles, stone, wood, furniture, etc.. These replaced 40W incandescents. Compared to high quality 40W incandescents, these bulbs are slightly whiter and slightly brighter. Very happy with these lights. 4 out of 5 stars Bright for its size.

This is a nice item. However it would be nice if there were more choices on light output such as a 60, 75 watt. It does give off a better white light instead of the bluish cast like some other L.E.D. bulbs do.
